Feldenkrais Centennial
Born May 6, 1904, Dr. Moshe (mo-shay) Feldenkrais, D.Sc., was an
innovative engineer who developed a method for rediscovering movement ease. In honor of his Centennial, many of his thousands of graduates around the world gave the same Awareness Through Movement® lesson.

May 8, 2004, in Redding, CT, for his Centennial, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitionercm, Joan "Jody" Zacharias gave a workshop. At this event, the Feldenkrais Method® was introduced, some of its benefits, and the same lesson as taught by his graduates around the globe was given to the 20 students in attendance. Some commented on the relaxation they experienced from this gentle, slow-paced lesson. Afterwards, many experienced a sense of lightness, others commented on how they found moving much easier. One student said they felt taller, another, more coordinated. Each experienced the comfort in movement the lesson offered.
To experience more of Moshe's innovations, students are invited to experience the FELDENKRAIS METHOD® as introduced by Redding's Senior Center this Fall.
